K9 Jake... Retired

K9 Jake was born in Portage, Wisconsin on January 24th, 2010.  Jake was flown to California on March 16th, 2010 at 8 weeks of age.  One day after his plane landed, Jake started his HRD (Human Remains Detection) training.   Jake was certified with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and the California Office of Emergency Services.  Jake now lives at home with his handler Ernie Cox in the great state of Texas.  Thank you for your service Jake.
